About

Blake Anderson-Buntz, is a British National, based in Oslo, Norway. Blake started his own hotel consulting and management company back in September 2005. He has helped major investors and owners with their properties since then, opened and managed more than 20 hotels, as well as consulted more than 400 customers, with all aspects of their properties. Combining experience from Central Europe, European Union and Scandinavia, in order to generate real value for owners and successful hotel products that guests appreciate and return to.

Prior to starting his own company, Blake launched his career in Oslo’s most central hotel, SAS Scandinavia Hotel (later part of Radisson Hotels and Resorts) in 1994, where he built a 12-year career, passing through all possible operational positions, all the way to Executive Manager to the Regional Director Russia, CIS and the Baltics, as well as Hotel Manager of the Radisson Royal Hotel, St Petersburg, an historical 5 Star Hotel. Blake believes strongly, that true professionalism can only be built through real hands-on experience and dedication.

Shaping the future of the Hotel and Hospitality industry, is a key concern. We cannot always take, we must also give something back; teaching the next generation; bringing information and analysis to industry professionals, as the Lead Expert for the industry journal, Hotel Report (www.hotel.report), establishing contacts with industry and government officials through associations, chambers-of-commerces, Tourism and Investment committees, he participates on developing industry practices and policies. It’s much better to shape the industry, rather than reacting to changes happening to the industry.

Originally, educated in finance and economics, from Brussels, Belgium, Blake later took additional education in Hotel Management with the Norwegian School of Hotel Management, Stavanger, Norway. Lifelong education is important to leading a healthy and interesting life. Blake speaks English, Norwegian, French and Russian fluently.
